Christmas is over for another year, 2016 has kicked off, and we’re back at our desks. Last year I made a conscious effort to improve my sitting posture but I might go the whole hog and get a standing desk this year. Maybe. Same for Martin, as he’s not getting any younger and our hip flexors aren’t getting any looser! But that’s a discussion for another time. Today’s topic is TrainerSync and what we’re looking to do with our personal trainer software this year.
What can you look forward to in 2016?
We’re always looking to improve, whether that’s our knowledge, our skill set, or our fitness. We like getting better at things – we’re sure you can relate. Clients hire you because they want to improve and we want to help you improve your fitness business.
We haven’t been super active on our blog recently. We’re a small team, and a lot of our time is spent focussing on design and development, talking to customers, talking to people who might be customers, and many other behind the scenes tasks that needs doing so we can bring our personal trainer software to all you fitness professionals out there.
A lot of our blog posts so far have focussed on our software, because that’s what we do all day. But before TrainerSync, our CEO Martin-Pierre had his own private gym. I used to help out with the admin, occasionally in exchange for free personal training sessions. It was a pretty good deal for everyone involved.
We know what it’s like working in the fitness industry. It’s not easy, and paperwork is boring.
In 2016 we’re going to be sharing our experience with you. What we’ve learnt over the years and how you can run a more efficient personal training business. We’re also working on an ebook.
You can get these updates delivered straight to your inbox if you sign up for our newsletter.
What are we doing today?
Right now we’re working on our Workout Builder. If you’re already using our platform, we want to thank you for your feedback. We’ve taken it on board and we’ve made a few tweaks.
Here’s a quick screenshot. It’s not finished, but we’re aiming to deploy the update within a month, and definitely before we launch.
We also have a few improvements scheduled for the Progress Tracking feature but we’ll be introducing them shortly after we’ve launched.
And that leads us on to the next question…
When will TrainerSync launch?
Soon. Very soon. We’re aiming to launch in this first quarter of 2016, so before April. You can continue to use TrainerSync for free until then, and if you’re already a beta tester you’ll be automatically enrolled as a Founder Member. That means 50% off every month, forever.

What else are we up to?
Aside from building that sweet Lego X-Wing that I definitely didn’t buy myself for Christmas, I’ll be catching up with our beta testers and finding out how they’re getting along with our personal training software. I’ll also be reaching out with some interview questions – maybe you do things differently than we used to and you’ve got some top tips to share. Or maybe we just think you’re awesome and want to share your story with aspiring personal trainers.
2016 is going to be a busy year for us, and we’re looking forward to connecting with you. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, please do get in touch.
Thanks for reading and we’ll be back soon with more news and information to share!
